The Gen5 configuration brings key updates to the G17 platform: the GLOCK Marksman Barrel with enhanced rifling and an improved crown, a modestly flared magwell for smoother reloads, and the Gen5 grip texture with no finger grooves. The frame uses a modular backstrap system to fine-tune grip size.
Controls are modern and flexible. An ambidextrous slide stop lever and a reversible magazine catch support left- or right-handed operation. The extractor doubles as a tactile and visual loaded-chamber indicator. The pistol uses Glock's Safe Action system with a trigger safety.
The nDLC black slide includes front and rear serrations for confident manipulation. It is a non-MOS slide with no optics cut. Fixed sights consist of a white-dot front and a square-notch rear. An integrated accessory rail on the dust cover supports compatible lights or other accessories.
This full-size 9mm offers a 17+1 capacity and a 4.49 in barrel length. It is striker-fired with a short-recoil, locked-breech action and a nominal 5.8 trigger weight.
