What's Included
- Smith & Wesson Model 15-3 .38 Special revolver (customized as described)
This Model 15-3 retains the proven K-frame format with a blued carbon-steel frame and a fluted 6-shot cylinder chambered in .38 Special. It wears an approximately 6-inch, untapered, heavy round barrel with a recessed target crown, configured here as a match-grade bull barrel. A short muzzle block supports the ejector-rod lockup, and the ejector-rod tip is knurled for positive control.
An Aristocrat-pattern 3-Position sight rib runs the length of the topstrap and barrel, marked with U.S. Patent 4,127,943. The rib carries three preset elevation index marks labeled "1 2 3" for quick, repeatable changes. A Patridge-style front blade is mounted to the rib, paired with an adjustable rear sight integral to the rib for clean, precise sight alignment.
The revolver is configured as a double-action-only competition gun with a custom action and an upgraded, smooth-faced trigger. While set up for DAO operation, it retains a spurred, checkered hammer. The overall package is tuned for consistent, controlled double-action work in match settings.
Ergonomics and control are enhanced by Hogue Monogrip rubber finger-groove grips. Factory and assembly markings include "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS.", a "MOD. 15-3" model marking on the crane cut, and additional assembly/inspection stamps on the yoke and barrel flat (e.g., "K 2 88 J", "92116", "J11"). Country of origin is the United States.
