What's Included
- Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 revolver
The Model 27-2 is a large S&W N-frame, square-butt .357 Magnum revolver with a fluted six-shot cylinder and double-action/single-action operation. This example wears a 5-inch heavy rib barrel with an under-barrel shroud and a checkered topstrap and barrel rib for reduced glare.
Its bright nickel finish is applied to the frame, barrel, and cylinder, complementing the revolver’s clean lines and robust construction. The ejector rod is shrouded and knurled, and the chambers are recessed, reflecting the desirable "Pinned & Recessed" construction of the period.
Factory sights include a pinned, serrated Baughman ramp front and a micrometer-click adjustable rear sight, providing a precise, repeatable sight picture. The revolver is fitted with checkered wood Magna stocks featuring S&W medallions and a diamond around the grip screw.
Production dates to 1970–1972. The yoke cut is marked "MOD. 27-2," and the right side of the frame reads "MADE IN U.S.A. / MARCAS REGISTRADAS / SMITH & WESSON / SPRINGFIELD, MASS." The cylinder carries matching digits to the serial, underscoring factory fit and finish from this era.
