The Performance Center 460XVR is built on S&W’s stainless steel X-Frame with a 5-shot unfluted cylinder. It uses a double-action/single-action system with an exposed hammer and a smooth, polished trigger. The black rubber finger-groove grip provides a solid, consistent hold.
Its 14-inch stainless barrel is fluted and housed in a Performance Center shroud that incorporates factory top and bottom Picatinny rails. The barrel uses gain-twist rifling and is fitted with a factory muzzle brake. This configuration is cataloged under S&W part number 170339.
Chambered in .460 S&W Magnum, the platform is factory-rated to also fire .454 Casull and .45 Colt. Sights are iron with a micrometer-adjustable rear sight for precise regulation.
Overall length is approximately 21.5 inches, and weight is about 5.4–5.5 pounds. The revolver’s stainless frame, cylinder, and overall finish emphasize durability, while the integrated rails add practical mounting surfaces. The included Magpul bipod is already attached to the lower rail.
