Built on the Anschutz Match 64 action, the Modell 1517 is a dedicated .17 HMR bolt gun with a right-hand bolt and a ball-style knob for smooth cycling. It uses a detachable box magazine with a 5+1 capacity and a lever-style magazine release positioned ahead of the trigger guard for efficient reloads.
The 25.5 in heavy-profile barrel is configured without sights and is paired with integral 11 mm dovetail grooves on the receiver. Clamp-on 11 mm dovetail scope base adapters are installed, giving the receiver clean, ready-to-use mounting interfaces that align with the rifle’s precision focus.
The classic sporter stock is hardwood with a beavertail fore-end and straight comb, offering a stable, hand-filling grip profile. A rubber buttpad with a white line spacer and QD sling studs round out the practical features. Length of pull is 14.5 inches, and the metalwork wears a traditional blued finish.
German Ulm antler and CIP proofs, the two-letter German date code "AD," and the TRISTAR NKC MO import mark document the rifle’s origin and import path. Introduced circa 2002 as an early factory .17 HMR platform, the Modell 1517 delivers a purpose-built configuration that reflects Anschutz’s small-bore expertise.
