Built in 1949, this pre-64 Model 94 Sporting Carbine has the classic top-eject receiver and no cross-bolt safety. The steel receiver and barrel wear a blued finish, and factory proof marks appear on the receiver ring and barrel.
The carbine configuration includes a 20-inch round barrel, full-length tubular magazine, and two barrel bands. A rectangular loading gate on the right receiver wall feeds the magazine, and capacity is 6+1.
Chambered in .32 Winchester Special, this example is in a less common chambering than the .30-30 often seen in Model 94 carbines. It offers period-correct characteristics desirable to collectors of post-war Winchesters.
Furniture consists of a straight-grip walnut buttstock and a carbine-length walnut fore-end. Sighting is by a hooded front and a semi-buckhorn rear with an elevator. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches. There is no saddle ring on this carbine.
