Produced in 1924, this Type III Model 1903 retains the hallmark concealed internal hammer and bushingless barrel of the series, paired with single-action blowback operation in a compact package. It has an 8+1 capacity and a 3.75 in barrel, well-suited to the model’s intended role in its era.
The slide and frame wear a gold-tone plated finish, presenting a distinctive appearance across the steel construction. The slide has rear serrations and an external long-claw extractor, with the Rampant Colt logo set behind the serrations.
Markings include the right-side slide legend "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE 32 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" and the left-side legend listing the manufacturer and patents. Inspection and proof stamps are present: VP in triangle on the left front of the trigger guard, an R on the left trigger guard, 34 on the right trigger guard, and a K stamp near the right front of the slide.
