The heart of this rifle is its stainless .223 Wylde barrel with a 1:8 twist, offering flexibility for .223 Remington and 5.56x45 NATO ammunition. The barrel measures approximately 18.25 inches, is free-floated for consistency, and is threaded with an A2-pattern flash hider.
The upper is a flat-top Picatinny design with forward assist, case deflector, and ejection-port cover. A continuous top rail bridges the receiver and free-float quad-rail handguard, providing ample space for mounting the included optic and additional accessories as desired.
The lower receiver is marked B.F.I. Windham, ME with a receiver marking of "CAL. 223–5.56MM," while the barrel is marked ".223 WYLDE SS 1:8." This example aligns with XM15 production from approximately 1994–2006 and uses standard STANAG-pattern magazines, with a listed capacity of 30+1.
Furniture includes a TAPCO 6-position collapsible stock with a rubber butt pad and a rubberized finger-groove pistol grip. The rifle operates via a semi-automatic, direct-impingement action and features a manual safety. No iron sights are installed, as the rifle is configured with the included Bushnell variable scope on a one-piece cantilever mount and Colt-marked riser.
