It is a 16 inch, 5.56 NATO, AR-15–pattern rifle with a side-folding 1913-interface stock, top-mounted forward charging handle, and right-side ejection. The package adds a Sightmark 5x magnifier on a flip-to-side mount, a rail-mounted folding bipod, and three 30-round magazines.

The JAKL’s bufferless design uses a rear 1913 interface, allowing the included side-folding stock while maintaining reliable operation. Its short-stroke gas piston system keeps fouling out of the receiver and pairs with right-side ejection and familiar AR-15 pattern controls.
The monolithic upper receiver provides a rigid foundation with a full-length 12 o'clock Picatinny rail and no forward assist. The M-LOK handguard offers slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock and integrates a QD sling socket for streamlined sling attachment.
A top-mounted, forward, knurled charging handle delivers positive control without interfering with side-folding operation. The 16 inch barrel is threaded and fitted with an open three-prong flash hider. Length of pull is 12.5 inches.
This rifle ships in matte black with an aluminum-alloy receiver and a polymer, 1913-mounted folding stock and AR-pattern pistol grip. It is configured without iron sights. The Sightmark 5x magnifier and rail-mounted folding bipod expand utility right out of the box.
Manufacturer roll mark reads Palmetto State Armory, West Columbia, SC, and the rifle is made in the USA. Capacity is 30+1 with the included 30-round magazines.
