Made by Inland Division during WWII and later imported by Blue Sky, this carbine carries correct USGI markings: U.S. CARBINE / CAL. .30 M1 on the receiver ring and INLAND DIV. on the heel. The BLUE SKY / ARLINGTON, VA.
import mark is applied on the barrel near the muzzle. The serial range and features indicate 1943–1944 production.
The rifle retains its parkerized finish on steel components and follows the classic short-stroke gas tappet system with a rotating bolt. It uses the detachable box magazine system with a stated 15+1 capacity and includes one 15-round steel magazine.
Furniture is GI-pattern hardwood with a sling cut, oiler slot, and metal buttplate. The upper handguard has a single cooling slot, and the barrel band is the type without a bayonet lug—consistent with earlier wartime configuration. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Sights are iron: a fixed blade front with protective ears and a later arsenal-upgraded rear sight, the adjustable aperture I.R.CO. 7160060 unit. This upgrade enhances elevation and windage adjustment while remaining correct to USGI upgrade practices.
