The 28 inch steel barrel is vent ribbed and threaded for interchangeable choke tubes, with a Modified choke installed. A single front bead provides a clear, simple sight picture. The chamber is marked for 12 gauge 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells; the barrel also notes that 3 1/2 inch shells are only for Super Mag receivers.
The action uses dual action bars for positive cycling and right-side ejection. A cross-bolt safety is positioned at the rear of the trigger guard. The magazine is currently plug-limited to a 2+1 capacity, and the knurled magazine cap allows easy takedown.
The Express Synthetic configuration includes a matte blued finish on the steel receiver and barrel, paired with a black polymer stock and synthetic fore-end. Textured grip panels aid control, and a Remington-branded buttplate completes the setup. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches.
