The Model 731 Ultra-Lite pairs a matte silver aluminum alloy frame with a matte stainless steel barrel and cylinder to keep weight to approximately 17 ounces. The 2-inch, non-ported barrel features a 1:12 RH twist and serrations along the rib and topstrap for glare reduction. A shrouded ejector rod with a knurled head supports quick, protected extraction.
Chambered in .32 H&R Magnum, this small-frame revolver offers a six-round cylinder in a compact package. Its double-action/single-action system and exposed, checkered hammer spur provide flexible operation at the range or for general carry use. A transfer bar safety is incorporated into the action.
The sighting setup is straightforward and durable, with a fixed serrated ramp front sight and a fixed notch rear. Black rubber finger-groove grips with Taurus medallions deliver a secure hold and consistent indexing.
Factory markings include "TAURUS INT. MFG. MIAMI, FL – USA" and "MADE IN BRAZIL," with the model designation marked in the yoke/crane area. This Ultra-Lite series revolver was produced in the early to mid-2000s and was discontinued by the mid-2000s, adding context to its production era and configuration.
