It is chambered in 9mm Luger (9x19) and operates via straight blowback in semi-automatic mode. The steel barrel measures 16.25 inches and is threaded, with a knurled thread protector installed.

This example features lots of M*CARBO upgrades, including the swing-out optic mount, bolt-tube cover, enlarged charging handle knob, angled foregrip, and rubber buttpad. These enhancements are installed and ready to use.
Polymer furniture in tan/FDE complements the polymer receiver and stock, which has a skeletonized profile and a rubber buttpad. The handguard is polymer with elongated side vents and full-length top and bottom Picatinny rails. Sighting is via a metal front post with protective ears and a flip-up rear aperture. Receiver markings include SUB-2000, KEL TEC CNC INC COCOA FL, and MADE IN USA. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
