The Security-Six platform provides a six-shot DA/SA operation with a swing-out cylinder, chambered in .357 Magnum. This example uses Ruger’s investment-cast, sideplate-less carbon-steel construction and a transfer-bar safety system. It has a square-butt grip frame and a smooth-faced trigger paired with a spur hammer.
The 6-inch carbon-steel barrel includes a top rib with top serrations. Sights consist of a pinned, ramped, serrated front blade and a fully adjustable square-notch rear. The ejector rod is exposed, with no full-length underlug.
Finished in blued carbon steel throughout the frame, cylinder, and receiver, this Security-Six retains the classic look associated with the series. The walnut service stocks feature Ruger medallion inlays and diamond checkering for a traditional grip profile.
Made in the United States, the revolver’s 155- serial prefix places it around 1980, corresponding to the later high-back frame era within the Security-Six line.
