The action is a right-hand bolt with spiral fluting and an oversized, knurled bolt knob for confident manipulation. A manual safety sits at the right rear and shows a red fire indicator. The rifle feeds from a detachable AICS-pattern box magazine and has a 5+1 capacity.
Bergara's HMR stock is a composite design finished in gray/tan with black webbing and a Bergara "B" medallion. It features an adjustable cheek riser, length-of-pull spacers, a textured grip and forend, dual sling studs, a QD sling socket, and a recoil pad. Length of pull measures 14.5 inches.
