Colt produced this Frontier Scout commemorative to honor Nevada’s 1864 statehood centennial. The left side of the barrel carries the special "1864 — NEVADA 'BATTLE BORN' — 1964" rollmark, while standard markings include "COLT SINGLE ACTION FRONTIER SCOUT .22 L.R." and the Hartford address.
Built as a six-shot, single-action-only revolver, it uses a fluted cylinder and a 4.75-inch barrel with fixed sights for a classic Frontier Scout configuration. The front sight is a blade; the rear is a topstrap groove.
The revolver wears a high-polish blue/black finish on the barrel, cylinder, and frame, contrasted by a bright-finished trigger guard and backstrap. One-piece white simulated mother-of-pearl grips with Colt medallions complete the commemorative look.
Mechanical features include an ejector rod housing and a spring-loaded cross-pin base-pin latch. The commemorative "BB" serial suffix format is specific to the Nevada centennial run, identifying it as a 1964 production piece from Colt’s Hartford, Connecticut factory.
This example is paired with its factory blue wood presentation case, decorated with the Nevada centennial emblem and Colt branding, and lined in light blue fabric with the Colt horse emblem.
