The P230 SL stands out as the all-stainless version of Sig Sauer's compact .380, providing a durable build with matching stainless slide and frame. The SL designation and 1986 West German manufacture add clear context and markings that are desirable to many collectors.
Its operating system is straight blowback with a fixed barrel, chambered in .380 ACP and offering a 7+1 capacity. The DA/SA trigger is paired with a decocker-only control scheme. There is no external manual safety and no external slide-stop lever, consistent with the P230 pattern.
Controls and ergonomics include a heel-type magazine release and an external spurred hammer. The slide features rear serrations, top serrations, and an anti-glare rib for confident handling and sight picture.
Sights are fixed, with a front post and painted dot and a square-notch dovetailed rear with a painted dot. The installed checkered wood grip panels complement the stainless finish and provide secure purchase.
This example retains period-correct markings, including "MADE IN W. GERMANY" and West German proof stamps. The bore condition is excellent, and the package includes five factory-pattern magazines for immediate use.
