This VR80 uses a gas-operated action with right-side ejection and is fed by detachable box magazines. The bolt is marked "BufferBolt System," and the fixed, skeletonized polymer thumbhole stock is molded "BufferTHS," delivering a consistent 14.5 in length of pull.
The 20 in barrel is choke-threaded and pairs with a spiral/fluted shroud and a cylindrical slotted muzzle device. It is chambered for 3 in shells and also accepts 2-3/4 in, offering broad load compatibility. Modified, Cylinder, and Full chokes are included.
The receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a black anodized finish. A full-length 1913 Picatinny top rail bridges the receiver and the long, ventilated aluminum handguard with elongated slots. Low-profile flip-up front and rear sights come installed.
