The Model 35 .22/32 Target no-dash I-frame configuration was produced for a short period before the later 35-1 change, making this late-1950s example a desirable transitional variant. Its early flat-latch cylinder release and unshrouded ejector rod are correct for the period and align with the frame and yoke details.
The 6 inch pinned, ribbed barrel pairs with a pinned ramp front blade and a micrometer-adjustable rear sight, providing a classic target-style sight picture. The serrated topstrap and barrel rib help manage glare to keep the sight picture clean.
Construction is carbon steel with a high-polish blue finish. The hammer is case-hardened with a checkered spur, and the trigger is case-hardened and grooved for controlled double- and single-action operation.
Original checkered walnut stocks feature S&W medallions and the diamond-around-screw escutcheon pattern associated with the era. Factory markings include the S&W circular trade-mark logo, MADE IN U.S.A., MARCAS REGISTRADAS, SMITH & WESSON, SPRINGFIELD, MASS., and MOD. 35 on the yoke.
