This Model 351C is part of S&W’s AirLite series, using an aluminum-alloy frame and cylinder to keep weight to approximately 11 oz unloaded. It is a J-Frame "Centennial"-style revolver with an internal, enclosed hammer and double-action-only operation. The matte black finish provides a uniform, low-glare appearance, and this example does not have an internal lock.
The revolver uses a 1.875 in two-piece barrel with a stainless-steel liner for durability and consistent bore characteristics. Overall length is approximately 6.25 in, keeping the footprint compact while accommodating the .22 WMR chambering.
Capacity is 7 rounds in a fluted cylinder, offering more shots than traditional five-shot J-Frames in other calibers. The cylinder and frame are finished in matte black to match the rest of the AirLite configuration.
Sighting is straightforward with fixed iron sights: a pinned, ramped white-dot front blade and a fixed U-notch on the topstrap. The black one-piece synthetic boot grip with the S&W monogram provides a secure, low-profile hold. Factory markings include "SPFLD, MA S&W U.S.A." indicating manufacture in the United States.
