What’s Included
- Parker Brothers VH Grade "Vulcan Steel" 20 gauge side-by-side shotgun (manufactured 1907)
The VH Grade pairs Parker Brothers' hammerless, side-by-side design with "Vulcan Steel" barrels, here in 20 gauge with 28-inch tubes and a two-shot capacity. The matted rib shows arrowhead terminations and the rib legend: "PARKER BROTHERS, MAKERS, MERIDEN, CONN. VULCAN STEEL."
The action layout is classic Parker: a right-side top lever, tang safety, and double triggers. Lockup is via the doll's-head rib extension, a signature Parker feature on these guns.
Stocking is period-correct walnut with a pistol-grip butt and a splinter forend. The forend has wraparound checkering and a latch marked "PAT'D. MAR. 26, 1878." The butt wears the Parker dog's-head hard-rubber buttplate. Length of pull is 14 inches.
Receiver embellishment includes bordered panel engraving with "PARKER BROS" sideplate marking. This example was built in Meriden, Connecticut in 1907. Ejector/extractor status is not verified from images.
