This discontinued series was produced in Exeter, New Hampshire, and this example pairs a 16 inch 5.56 NATO barrel with a short-stroke gas piston system and adjustable gas regulator. It includes SIG flip-up iron sights, a free-float quad-rail with a continuous T-marked top rail, and a B5 Systems collapsible stock. Condition is very good with an excellent bore.

The SIG516 Patrol uses a short-stroke gas piston with an adjustable gas regulator, combining AR-15 ergonomics with a piston operating system. The railed gas block includes a forward sling loop, and the regulator features a SIG-logo knob for positive indexing.
The 16 inch barrel is marked 5.56 NATO 1/7, is threaded, and is fitted with an A2-pattern birdcage flash hider. The rifle feeds from standard STANAG/AR-15 pattern magazines and has a 30+1 capacity.
A free-float quad-rail handguard provides a continuous, T-marked top Picatinny rail. Factory SIG flip-up front and rear iron sights are installed, and a SIG rail panel is mounted on the handguard.
Receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard-coat anodized finish. Standard AR-15 upper features include a forward assist, shell deflector, and ejection-port cover. Controls include an ambidextrous safety selector and a standard magazine release.
Furniture includes a B5-marked collapsible carbine stock with a QD sling socket and SIG-logo rubber buttpad, installed on a carbine receiver extension. The rifle is equipped with an A2-style pistol grip. Upper is marked "SIG SAUER SIG516" and the lower is marked "SIG SAUER, INC EXETER NH USA." The SIG516 series was produced circa 2010–2019 in Exeter, New Hampshire, USA.
