The AAF 3 uses a compact Commander-format with a double-stack 1911/2011-style frame, an aggressively textured grip module, and a flared magwell for confident control and fast reloads. Capacity is 17+1 in 9mm Luger.
The round-top slide is optic cut with a screw-retained cover plate and includes a top window that showcases the ported, bushingless bull barrel. The ejection port is lowered, and both front and rear cocking serrations provide solid purchase for administrative handling.
Controls include an ambidextrous thumb safety and an extended beavertail grip safety with a memory bump. A curved trigger with lightening holes and a skeletonized commander-style hammer complete the single-action, hammer-fired setup.
The frame carries an integral accessory rail with three Picatinny slots, plus three tapped holes on the left side forward of the trigger for a mounting pattern. Sighting configuration is a red fiber-optic front; the rear sight is not present, with a rear plate installed over the optic cut. The camouflage Cerakote multi-tone finish is applied to both slide and frame.
Built in Green Forest, Arkansas, this example reflects Alpha American Firearms hand-fit assembly. The included factory test card documents builder Tim Anderson and date of August 27, 2025, underscoring provenance on a recent release.
