The Model 1100 is a gas-operated, right-side ejection semi-auto with a steel receiver marked "Remington Model-1100." This example is a standard 12 gauge receiver with a "V" suffix, configured for 2 3/4 inch shells and a 4+1 capacity.
The 22 inch smoothbore barrel is plain with no vent rib and is set up with rifle sights: a ramped front blade and an adjustable rear notch/elevator. The receiver top has a matte anti-glare strip to reduce glare around the sighting plane.
The walnut stock and fore-end wear a glossy finish with fleur-de-lis style pressed panels. Stock features include pressed checkering, a ventilated recoil pad with a white-line spacer, a rear sling swivel stud, and a teardrop grip cap with a white diamond inlay. Length of pull measures 14.75 inches.
The bolt is jeweled, and the safety is a cross-bolt type. The magazine cap has a knurled rim and a provision for a front sling attachment. The receiver’s left side has two threaded posts installed for a side-mount optic base, and a Tasco side-mount base/plate is included with the sale (not installed).
