Mag. offers magnum performance in a classic, full-size bolt-action platform with a 3+1 internal box magazine and a hinged floorplate.
The rifle uses a 24" steel sporter-profile barrel with a blued finish. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and the rifle arrives with a two-piece scope base set already installed. It is configured without iron sights.
Its high-gloss walnut Monte Carlo stock includes a raised cheekpiece, fineline checkering, a checkered pistol grip, a pistol-grip cap with a white-line spacer, a ventilated recoil pad with a spacer, and sling swivel studs. Length of pull is 13.5.
Factory markings include "MADE IN JAPAN" and "ATASCADERO, CALIFORNIA." These details, along with the Howa manufacture, identify this example with the noted Atascadero-era production window.
