This example features a 4.9 in steel barrel, an aluminum alloy frame with a matte black hard-anodized finish, and comes with three 12-round steel magazines and original factory accessories.

Key A1 features include a captive recoil spring paired with an internal recoil buffer and an integral 3-slot Picatinny rail on the dust cover. The barrel measures 4.9 in and the pistol carries a 12+1 capacity in .40 S&W.
The aluminum alloy frame wears a matte black hard-anodized finish, and the slide is matte black with rear serrations. Controls are classic 90-series: ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker with a firing pin block, a standard left-side magazine release, slide stop, and takedown latch. A lanyard loop is positioned at the heel.
Sight regulation is handled by dovetailed 3-dot front and rear sights, allowing replacement or adjustment as needed. The integral accessory rail provides three Picatinny slots for mounting compatible lights or other rail-mounted accessories.
Markings confirm its Italian origin, including Italian proof house marks and date code on the underside of the dust cover, along with the BERETTA USA CORP., ACKK., MD. import mark and CAT. 16329. Model 96A1 markings are present on the slide, and the pistol includes checkered Beretta-logo grip panels. Three steel magazines marked Made in Italy are included.
