The Virginian Dragoon is a full-size, steel, single-action-only revolver built on Interarms' heavy Dragoon frame for .44 Rem Magnum. It uses a fluted six-shot cylinder and an 8 3/8 inch barrel. The barrel carries the left-side rollmark "VIRGINIAN DRAGOON CAL. 44 MAGNUM" and the top rollmark "INTERARMS ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA, U.S.A." The frame is marked with U.S. Patent No.
3,803,741 dated April 16, 1974, accompanied by a small starburst.
Sighting is handled by adjustable iron sights, with a ramped blade up front and a fully adjustable square-notch rear. The action is traditional single-action only, complemented by the patented two-position base pin "Swiss Safety" and a hammer-blocking safety.
