Manufactured by Miroku in Japan in 1976, this B-78 falls within the model’s limited production era and aligns with the period’s build quality and fit. The receiver is steel with a polished blued finish, and the rifle carries factory rollmarks: MADE IN JAPAN and Browning Arms Company Morgan, Utah & Montreal P.Q. The serial code RT 147 corresponds to a 1976 B-78 High Power Rifle.
The 26-inch barrel is round, polished blued, and drilled and tapped, with a recessed crown. There are no iron sights. The barrel is marked with U.S. Patent No. 3,830,000, referencing the extractor/ejector system used on this model.
Two-piece scope bases are already installed, providing a ready foundation for mounting compatible rings and an optic of your choice.
The action is a lever-actuated falling block with an exposed hammer featuring a knurled spur. As a single-shot, it has a 1-round capacity, delivering the precise, deliberate cycling this design is known for. The bore condition and rifling are excellent, reflecting careful prior handling.
Stock furniture is walnut with a gloss finish. Highlights include a Monte Carlo comb with cheekpiece, semi-pistol grip with cap, and point-pattern checkering on both the grip and the wraparound-checkered forend. A black recoil pad with white-line spacer and factory sling swivel studs complement the setup. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
