Belgian FN manufacture with the iconic humpback receiver and matted top sighting plane defines this Auto-5. The plain round barrel measures approximately 27.5 in and is marked "Special Steel." Capacity is stated at 2+1, and operation is the classic long-recoil system associated with the model.
Factory engraving includes scrollwork on both sides of the receiver with zig-zag border cuts and the Browning bust trademark. Markings include Belgian proofmarks, "MADE IN BELGIUM," and "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST. LOUIS Mo."
Functional features include the magazine cut-off lever on the left side of the receiver, a takedown cap with concentric grooves, and a single front bead for quick alignment on the matted sighting plane. The serial number is located on the bottom of the receiver ahead of the loading port with an "M" stamp above.
The walnut stock set shows the period-correct round-knob pistol grip, cut checkering, and a finger-groove forearm, finished with a hard rubber buttplate. Length of pull measures 14.5 in. Both the receiver and barrel are steel.
