This A-Bolt Hunter is a first-generation rifle produced in 1985 (PV code) and manufactured in Japan by Miroku. It is chambered in .270 Winchester and built around a 22-inch blued barrel in a classic sporter configuration. The walnut stock features cut checkering, a straight comb, a hard buttplate, and factory sling swivel studs, with a 13.5-inch length of pull.
The action uses a three-lug bolt with a 60-degree lift for quick cycling, a recessed bolt face, and a plunger ejector. The bolt body is polished, and the rifle includes a gold-colored trigger. The trigger guard carries the Browning Buck Mark.
Controls are straightforward with a top-tang, two-position safety and a red fire indicator. The detachable box magazine is contained within a hinged floorplate, and capacity is 4+1 for standard calibers.
The receiver is drilled and tapped and currently fitted with two-piece cross-slot scope bases. The rifle has no iron sights. Included front and rear sling swivels attach to the factory studs.
Markings include an NP stamp at the barrel shank, a "Made in Japan" barrel address, and the Browning Arms Company Morgan, Utah & Montreal P.Q. address.
