The VP9’s striker-fired, short-recoil Browning-type action pairs with a light-pull trigger measured at approximately 5.4 lb, offering a consistent break and short reset. The ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release and mirrored slide controls support left- or right-handed use without modification.
The 4.09 in cold hammer forged steel barrel uses polygonal rifling and a recessed crown to help maintain durability and gas seal, with a 1:9.8 in right-hand twist suited to common 9mm loads. The bore presents a clean, mirror finish consistent with the Excellent condition noted.
The optics-ready slide includes front and rear cocking serrations and HK charging supports at the rear for confident manipulation. Dovetailed iron sights are drift-adjustable, with a front blade and a rear square-notch. The extractor serves as a loaded chamber indicator with a red paint witness for quick verification.
Ergonomics are highly configurable thanks to the modular grip system with interchangeable backstraps and side panels, enabling 27 possible grip configurations. The polymer frame in black integrates a Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover for lights or other accessories.
This German-made pistol bears DE country code and the Ulm stag-antler proof mark, with HKI – Columbus, GA import marking. Capacity is 10+1 as configured, and two factory 10-round magazines are included.
