The LCP II is built around a through-hardened alloy-steel slide and alloy-steel barrel finished in matte black oxide. The frame is molded from glass-filled nylon for strength and low weight, with a polymer grip frame that includes the Ruger phoenix medallion.
Operating features are straightforward and modern: a recoil-operated, internal hammer-fired, single-action system with a trigger safety and a left-side push-button magazine release. The slide carries both front and rear serrations for confident manipulation.
Its micro-compact form factor is optimized for discreet carry and ease of handling, with approximate dimensions of 5.17 in L x 3.71 in H x 0.91 in W and an unloaded weight of about 10.6 oz. The fixed, integral sighting system includes a front blade and a rear notch.
The 2.75 in barrel uses six-groove rifling with a 1:16 in right-hand twist. The pistol is compatible with LCP II magazines that provide a last-round hold-open feature, and this example includes both a 7-round and a 6-round magazine.
Markings include "RUGER • PRESCOTT, AZ USA," reflecting its U.S. manufacture. The configuration presented here is clean and functional, with the included holsters adding carry options out of the box.
