The pistol is TR-prefixed (TR04527), is marked "BAER .45 MATCH" on the barrel/chamber hood, and includes the original Les Baer box labeled for the Thunder Ranch 1911 along with factory documentation and extras.

The hammer is able to travel after the slide is dropped, but after releasing the slide, the hammer is inconsistently able to release itself; the hammer, sear, and sear spring likely need replacement.

Built on the 1911 platform, this Thunder Ranch Special is a single-action-only .45 ACP with a full-size format and a 5" barrel. The barrel/chamber hood is marked "BAER .45 MATCH," and the pistol is configured with fixed sights and an 8+1 capacity.
Thunder Ranch details are clearly present on the slide, including "TR SPECIAL" on the right side and "BAER / Custom" on the left side. The right side of the slide also features an engraved Thunder Ranch-style shield/lightning-bolt emblem, and the slide uses front and rear cocking serrations along with a lowered/relieved ejection port.
The frame is marked "LES BAER CUSTOM / LE CLAIRE IA USA" and the pistol is identified by a TR-prefixed serial number (TR04527), which is also shown on the box label. It is finished in a dark finish on both slide and frame and uses a skeleton/rowel-style hammer along with a beavertail grip safety and a left-side thumb safety.
This package includes both the installed dark textured grip panels and an additional set of reddish-brown checkered grip panels with a Thunder Ranch emblem medallion. It also comes with the original Les Baer Custom box labeled for the Thunder Ranch 1911, plus a certificate card, instruction manual/paperwork, and an embroidered Les Baer patch.
