The receiver heel is marked "U.S. RIFLE M1A / SPRINGFIELD ARMORY," and the barrel is marked ".308 WIN" with a "1-10" twist marking. This rifle is set up as a customized M1A, with added rail space for mounting compatible accessories using Picatinny-type interfaces.
The receiver-mounted Springfield Armory-marked rail/mount provides rail sections on the top and sides, and a short under-forearm Picatinny-type rail section is installed forward of the magazine well. Together, these additions give the rifle multiple mounting points while keeping the core M1A layout intact.
The rifle includes a multi-port muzzle brake/compensator installed on the barrel, and a separate original flash hider is included loose. The exposed forward section of the barrel shows a tan/FDE-like exterior finish.
It wears a walnut, semi-gloss wood stock with a straight/low comb and a metal buttplate with dense checkering. Sighting is handled by protected iron sights: a post/blade-style front sight on the front band/gas-cylinder assembly and a protected aperture-style rear sight with a windage knob.
