The M&P9 Shield 1.0 is a compact 9mm pistol with a 3.1" barrel and a 7+1 capacity. This one is identified by the slide marking "M&P 9 SHIELD" and right-side slide marking "SMITH & WESSON / SPRINGFIELD, MA U.S.A."
It features wavy/scalloped-style rear slide serrations and fixed white-dot sights with a single white dot up front and two white dots in the rear. The frame uses textured grip panels for a secure, consistent feel.
This example is the no-thumb-safety configuration, with no manual thumb safety lever observed. It also has no accessory rail observed.
