The Enhanced Gen 2 configuration brings practical upgrades to the Ruger Precision Rifle platform, including a three-lug bolt with a 70-degree throw for smooth cycling and quick follow-up shots. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger is externally adjustable from 2.25 to 5 pounds, and a right-side manual safety lever provides straightforward control.
The 20-inch heavy-profile barrel is 4140 chrome-moly steel, cold hammer-forged with 5R rifling for consistent performance. It is threaded 5/8-24 and paired with a Ruger Hybrid-style muzzle brake with a jam nut. A thread protector is included for use when the muzzle device is removed.
The chassis combines durability and precision: the upper receiver and one-piece bolt are pre-hardened 4140 steel, while the lower receiver halves are 7075-T6 aluminum. An aluminum free-float KeyMod handguard (without a full-length top rail) surrounds the barrel, and a receiver-mounted 20 MOA Picatinny rail provides a solid base. A Vortex Sport Series 30mm cantilever mount is included.
The folding stock is polymer/composite and highly adjustable, with length of pull (13.0 inches), comb height, and buttpad height adjustments. It includes a bag rider with a bottom Picatinny rail and a QD sling socket. The AR-style Ruger pistol grip offers a familiar interface. This rifle uses Ruger’s multi-magazine interface, compatible with AICS and SR-25/DPMS pattern magazines, and comes with two 10-round PMAGs. It was manufactured in 2017 and falls outside the early bolt-shroud bulletin ranges.
