This is a compact, single-action, hammer-fired pistol that uses a simple blowback action and includes a magazine safety. It is fitted with an external hammer, fixed iron sights with a fixed front blade and fixed rear notch, and vertical rear grasping grooves on the slide.
Markings are a major part of what defines this example. The left side of the slide is marked "Pistole Modell 27 Kal. 7.65" and the top of the slide is marked "BOHMISCHE WAFFENFABRIK A.G. IN PRAG." German-occupation inspection marks include WaA76 and an eagle-style inspection mark.
The pistol has brown checkered grip panels with the circular CZ monogram/roundel and a lanyard loop at the rear of the grip. The two-tone look is reinforced by the slide being darker than the frame.
As configured, it is chambered in .32 ACP with a 3.9-inch barrel and a stated capacity of 9+1. The visible serial number 37828 appears on the right/front of the frame and on top of the slide.
