The Model 460XVR is chambered for .460 S&W Magnum and also accepts .454 Casull and .45 Colt, offering notable cartridge flexibility in a five-shot fluted cylinder with non-recessed charge holes. The action is double-action/single-action with an exposed hammer.
Its 7.5 in heavy stainless barrel uses gain-twist rifling and is equipped with a factory-style multiport brake/compensator; the rifled barrel itself is unported. This setup is paired with a green fiber-optic front sight. The rear sight is obscured or removed due to the installed top rail.
The revolver is constructed in stainless steel for the frame, cylinder, and receiver, all finished in satin stainless. It wears a black rubber finger-groove grip with the S&W medallion and is made in the USA. The topstrap is drilled and tapped, and an assembly stamp "957" is present in the yoke/frame cut.
