This Romanian-pattern AKM underfolder is a parts-kit build assembled on a Morrissey-stamped receiver, chambered in 7.62x39. It pairs classic AKM features with practical details like a threaded barrel with slant-cut compensator, a bayonet-lug gas block, and robust wood furniture including the distinctive reverse-dong lower handguard. The bore is in excellent condition, and the rifle includes a 30-round steel magazine.
Built on an AKM platform, this rifle uses a long-stroke gas piston with a rotating bolt and a standard AKM magazine interface. Controls are true to pattern with a paddle-style magazine release and a right-side safety/selector. Capacity is 30+1.
The steel underfolding twin-strut stock locks via a push-button latch and features a steel buttplate and right-rear sling loop. Furniture is wood throughout, including the pistol grip and two-piece handguard set with Romanian-style reverse-dong lower.
The 16.5 in barrel is threaded and fitted with a slant-cut muzzle compensator. The stamped receiver has the AKM magwell dimple and a ribbed top cover, and the rear trunnion is hinged for the underfolding stock. Selector detent markings are "Y" and "X," and receiver markings include MORRISSEY INC BLOOMINGTON MN, the model designation, and caliber.
Sights are iron: a protected front post and a tangent rear sight graduated to 1000 meters. This setup provides a traditional AKM sighting arrangement suited to the platform and caliber.
