Built around a gas-operated piston/op-rod system with a rotating bolt, this M1A follows the classic M14/M1A action layout. The rifle is equipped with iron sights, including a protected front blade/post and an M14/M1A-type aperture rear sight with windage and elevation knobs.
The 22-inch barrel is marked "NM .308" and is threaded 5/8-24 TPI for suppressor mounting. The muzzle is currently fitted with an X37 Tactical muzzle brake, and the Springfield flash suppressor is included as an additional muzzle device.
This rifle also features an adjustable pressure plug, with a knurled-head gas plug visible at the front of the system. The aftermarket multi-port muzzle brake is marked "X37TACTICAL.COM" and also marked ".308 / 7.62x51 NATO."
Ergonomics are set up with a black composite fixed stock and textured panels on the wrist/pistol-grip area and the fore-end, along with a handguard over the barrel. Length of pull is listed at 13.5, and maximum capacity is stated as 20+1 with the included magazines.
