What's Included
- Marlin Golden 39-A lever-action rifle
The barrel rollmark reads "The Marlin Firearms Co., New Haven, Conn., U.S.A. - MARLIN GOLDEN 39-A," and the barrel is also marked "MICRO-GROOVE BARREL." The 24-inch barrel length and 19+1 capacity under-barrel tubular magazine are consistent with the traditional long-barreled 39-A configuration.
This rifle is set up with open iron sights, including a ramp-style front sight with a brass/gold-colored bead and a barrel-mounted open rear sight on a dovetail with a stepped elevator and buckhorn-style profile. The sight package keeps the rifle in a straightforward, classic setup without added features.
The rifle uses a lever-action with an external hammer and a takedown design, identified by the large slotted takedown screw on the receiver's right side. The stock set is non-checkered wood with a pistol-grip stock and matching fore-end, and it wears a black buttplate with molded/raised "Marlin" script.
Serial number information includes an upper tang serial number beginning with "R" (R24685). The receiver and wood also show a matching hand-scribed/engraved number "6700013" noted on both components.
