Chambered in 5.45x39mm and built around a long-stroke gas piston with a rotating bolt, this VEPR follows the Kalashnikov-pattern layout with a right-side safety/selector lever. The receiver is marked with Molot-Oruzhie Ltd. and the FIME Group importer information, and the firearm bears proof/import markings including "MOLOT-ORUZHIE LTD., VYATSKIE POLYANY RUSSIA," "VEPR," "5.45×39," and "FIME GROUP, LAS VEGAS NV USA."
The wood furniture is a major part of what defines this configuration. The thumbhole stock includes a raised cheekpiece/comb profile, checkering in the grip area, and a black rubber recoil pad with decorative scrollwork and raised "MOLOT" text. The matching wood fore-end/handguard also shows a circular logo/emblem near the rear.
Iron sights are factory-style and straightforward: a hooded front sight assembly with a detent/plunger, paired with a tangent rear sight leaf graduated 1 through 10. A multi-port muzzle device is installed.
This rifle is identified as a 2016 manufacture, and the factory-stamped serial observed is "16 V AB" (box label shown as "16VAB"). The included box label lists a 16.5-inch barrel length. Other referenced notes on this model indicate it is no longer available for U.S. import due to sanctions, and the VEPR line is described as a civilian sporting/hunting family derived from the RPK pattern.
