The CX4 Storm marking is molded into the receiver/stock body, with a large "BERETTA" marking present as well. Proof marks and import stamps include "P. BERETTA – GARDONE V.T. – MADE IN ITALY" and "BERETTA USA CORP. ACKK MD." with "PAT.

The 16.6 in barrel uses a 250 mm pitch twist and is paired with a perforated cylindrical muzzle shroud/barrel sleeve. The barrel construction is specified as cold-hammer forged and chrome lined.
Controls and operation are straightforward: it is a blowback-operated design with a cross-bolt safety and a single action only trigger. The receiver warning text notes that it fires without a magazine.
