The SAR-1 is a CAI-imported Romanian AK-pattern rifle chambered in 7.62x39, built around a stamped steel receiver with riveted construction. The rifle is marked with Romanian manufacturer and CAI import information, including "MADE BY C.N. ROMARM S.A./CUGIR, IN ROMANIA" and "IMPORTED CAI GEORGIA, VT," along with the SAR-1 model marking and caliber marking.
This example features a fixed wood stock with a 12.75 length of pull, along with matching wood upper and lower handguards. A black synthetic pistol grip is installed, and the rifle wears a black finish on the metal components.
