Built as part of Smith & Wesson's Third Generation lineup, this Model 6906 is configured as a compact DA/SA pistol with a slide-mounted manual safety/decocker. It also has ambidextrous safety/decocker levers, giving it a mirrored control setup on the slide.
The left side controls include a push-button magazine release and a visible slide stop lever. A squared trigger guard with a checkered/serrated front face adds to the period-correct Third Generation styling and handling features.
Sight setup is straightforward and durable: fixed iron sights in a three-dot pattern, with a dot on the fixed front sight and two dots on the fixed rear sight. The pistol wears a black wraparound synthetic grip with molded checkering and "Smith & Wesson" branding.
Markings and identifiers are clearly defined, including the barrel hood marking visible through the ejection port: "9MM" and "PARABELLUM." The serial number on the frame begins with "TDC."
