Built on Colt's Mark III platform, this Trooper is a DA/SA revolver with a transfer-bar ignition/safety system. It uses a left-opening swing-out cylinder with a shrouded ejector rod/under-barrel housing.
The revolver is chambered in .357 Magnum and holds 6 rounds in a fluted cylinder. It is fitted with iron sights: a serrated ramped blade front sight and a square-notch rear sight assembly that appears adjustable.
It wears two-piece checkered wood grips with Colt medallions in a square-butt profile. The 4 inch barrel and full-size frame give it a balanced, service-style configuration.
