This Model 1100 is marked "Remington Model-1100" on the receiver and has a right-side ejection port. The receiver engraving includes gold-colored scrollwork on both visible flats and gold-colored model lettering, giving this example a distinct, factory-marked appearance.
The 20 gauge barrel is marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC., ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A." and is stamped "20 GA. FOR 2 3/4 OR SHORTER SHELLS." It is also marked MOD. at the choke.
The barrel appears smooth without a vent rib visible, and the stated barrel length is 28 inches.
Controls and furniture are straightforward and classic for the platform, with a cross-bolt safety and a single trigger. The shotgun is fitted with wood furniture, including checkered panels with a glossy finish, and a pistol-grip stock. Length of pull is listed at 14.0.
