The tubular magazine is positioned under the barrel and is stated to have a maximum capacity of 2+1.
The receiver is steel with a blued finish and features a light, rolled bird/waterfowl-style game scene on the side panels. Manufacturer and model markings include ITHACA GUN CO., INC., ITHACA, N.Y., PATENT NO. 1849982, MODEL-37, and 12 GA - 2 3/4 CHAMBER - MADE IN U.S.A.
Furniture is wood, including a buttstock with a pistol grip and checkering panels, paired with a grooved corncob-style wood fore-end. Sighting is simple and traditional, using a single brass-colored front bead.
Additional details include a black, checkered/striated buttplate secured by two screws and a small circular, crest-like stamp near the FULL marking that is not fully legible. The serial number 217859 is visible on the receiver.
