This is an unbranded Spanish Mauser Model 1893-pattern rifle in 7mm Mauser (7x57mm) that has been sporterized and set up with iron sights, including a Lyman receiver-mounted aperture (peep) rear sight. It is configured with a 29" barrel, 5-round capacity, and a 13.5" length of pull. The visible serial marking "D6228" is present on the left side of the receiver and on the barrel shank area forward of the receiver, as photographed.
