It features a black synthetic half-stock with molded checkered panels and a black recoil pad, along with an under-barrel ramrod. The sidelock lockplate is decorated with ornamental engraving, and the barrel is clearly marked "Black Powder Only" and "1:32 TWIST."

Built around a percussion sidelock action with an external hammer, this Mountain Stalker keeps the classic handling and layout many shooters look for in a traditional muzzleloader. It is configured as a single-shot rifle with a 1-round capacity.
The 26" octagonal barrel is marked ".50 Cal" and is stamped "1:32 TWIST." The barrel flat is marked "CVA ARMS Inc." and the model marking "MOUNTAIN STALKER" is present, along with "Black Powder Only" and a "Read instructions ... Before use" warning.
Sighting is handled by open iron sights with a blade-style front sight on a ramp near the muzzle and an open rear sight mounted on the barrel. The rifle also includes an under-barrel ramrod for the traditional muzzleloading setup.
On the stock, the black synthetic half-stock includes molded checkered panels and a black recoil pad secured by two screws. A rear sling swivel stud is present at the buttstock toe area.
